Description
Our vineyard is nestled beneath the Pilgrim’s Way and its flinty soil and free draining chalk bedrock brings out the best in our beautiful grapes, producing a perfectly balanced, fruit-driven wine that reflects the special character of the Westwell terroir.
Our Westwell Blanc de Noirs 2013 is produced using the traditional bottle fermentation method with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes hand picked from our vineyard.
Harvest came on the back of two poor vintages and was the largest we’d seen at Westwell. Late ripening helped develop especially flavourful Pinots and the wonderfully rich resulting base wines lead us to create this unique blend.
Extended lees ageing and the addition of reserve wines adds complexity and depth resulting in a wine that is full of ripe red-berry fruit flavours, aromas of warm vanilla and a deliciously long finish.
