Westwell Village Chardonnay 2023 V1
V1 is an easy-drinking Chardonnay made to pair effortlessly with food. A blend from two blocks, clone 121 from younger 2019 vines and clone 95 planted in 2009, this wine is bright and crisp with ripe citrus vibrancy and a touch of stone fruit. Simple, direct and full of orchard fruit.
Winemaking
Picked in October 2023. Grapes pressed and settled before fermentation at cool temperatures in stainless steel.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Ripe citrus, orchard fruit
Palate: Bright, crisp, with citrus and subtle stone fruit
Food Match: A Chardonnay made for Kentish seafood and just about anything else - a good match with creamy fish or chicken dishes, or roasted celeriac with hazelnut butter

Westwell Village Chardonnay 2023 V2 (Barrel & Steel)
V2 uses the same fruit from our oldest Chardonnay vines, harvested in October 2023, and adds an extra layer of complexity. A beautifully balanced Chardonnay combining the precision and freshness of steel with the depth and texture gained from barrel fermentation.
Winemaking
A blend of two fermentations from the same fruit. One portion fermented in barrel with wild yeast, the other fermented cool in stainless steel.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Bright citrus with subtle stone fruit
Palate: Crisp and vibrant with added depth, texture and structure
Food Match: Roast chicken, Kentish seafood and fish.
